I finally got round to writing down my thoughts on One Wheel No Limit.
I wish I’d had a video like this to watch years ago. It shows a mind blowing
variety of just what is possible on a unicycle. I’ve been interested in
freestyle unicycling for several years now and got more inspiration from one
hour watching this video than 4 years of surfing the web, reading books and
watching convention tapes put together.
For those of us who are isolated and don’t have a club like TCUC to attend every
week “One Wheel No Limit” is indispensable. Its so much easier to learn a trick
after having seen it done. One 2 second clip can inspire you to work for hours.
One Wheel no limit covers just about every aspect of freestyle unicycling you
can imagine and then some. It is loosely arranged around different skill
categories, eg wheel walk, hopping, seat in front skills, gliding, spins etc.
The tape shows a full range of abilities and skills so there is something for
everyone. Its very handy being able people in various stages of learning a
trick. And its inspiring watching national and world champions at work.
If you are new to unicycling the tape is a great way to get educated as to just
what you can do. The clips come fast and furious with literally hundreds of
ideas of things to do. Old hands will find enough high level tricks to keep them
occupied for at least a year or two.
Its a joy to have a video that covers all those tricks I’d read about and
couldn’t ever imagine doing. Ultimate wheel, bc wheel, 16ft giraffes, gliding,
coasting, group riding and many other skills are a lot easier to understand when
you can actually see what they look like.
One Wheel No Limit should be the first unicycling video in your library. (And
then grab Universe!)
Thanks Andy and Alan for putting in so much work to produce such a high
quality tape!
Cheers, Peter
ps And as a bonus if you buy this tape you get to see me demonstrate how NOT to
do a frog mount (can you say face plant? How about body plant?). Just my luck
that Alan put that bit in slow motion:-)
