I know this thread is old and disc brakes is cool and all that but just wanted to share my take on a Magura → v-brake conversion that I did today. Not ground braking different but just another example of how easy it can be done with simple tools and cheap hardware.
(for each side)
- 40x40x2,0x25mm L-bracket
- ISO7380 35mm-M5 screw
- M5 20mm spacer/washer with 8mm outer diameter
- 3x M5 spacers.
(the M5 3mm spacer/washer to the right was not used)
Just used a Dremel (multi-tool) as shown in the background to make a few cuts in the L-bracket and then used a bit of grease and some Loctite to put it all together. What exact spacer and washers you need will likely depend on the v-brake used. I just used some cheap/generic that I sourced from Aliexpress together with the other hardware.
