In an effort to stay ahead of the youngsters in my club I have decided this
summer’s trick to learn is one foot wheel walking. I have gotten reasonably good
at regular wheel walking.
Is it better to keep the foot on the wheel at all times and slide it back and
forth with varying pressure?
Which foot to use? For some reason I have been practicing using my non-dominant
foot. Seems easier to balance with the dominant foot on the frame.
Is it gliding or coasting where you use one foot to control your speed. This
trick is my ultimate goal.

I know the problem

Try and keep your foot on the tyre on the return, but pressure is so light that
it is some times it is not there at all. It is very important that your action
is smooth though and that the stroke is long going to full stretch of the leg.

I keep my dominent foot on the frame also, but I have recently found that it
doesn’t matter which one I use, it apears to be less sides than most skills.

Gliding, my goal also and I am just getting there.
