Old and In the Way

I scored a decently priced used copy of the Jerry Garcia/David Grisman record, Old and In the Way. It’s on now. What a kick ass album!

Make me a tape?

So good that it doesn’t even matter they’re out of tune

How much was it?

Make me a tape? [I’m dating myself ;)]

Careful ! … that could end up in someones sig !

I think it’s easier to make MP3’s now

Re: Old and In the Way

Wild Horses… Best alternative treatment of a Stones tune ever, in my HO.

It’s a great album, and is also out on CD (or was). There are also two other CDs from Acoustic Disc (Grisman’s label) of that band playing live during that brief period.

Re: Make me a tape?

Yes, a minor consideration considering the soul in the music.

20 bucks.

I’ll see what I can do. I don’t have a tape player anymore.

Re: Re: Old and In the Way

Probably, yes.

Dawgnet. Old and In the Way is out of print in any format, I believe.

Re: Re: Old and In the Way

Although “Dead Flowers” by the New Riders from their live album “Home Home On The Road” is a very close second place.

BTW: Home Home On The Road has FINALLY been released on CD. An amazing live album all around, and one of the best pedal steel guitar albums ever. Buddy Cage at the top of his game with a very tight and rocking band behind him.

Another fine feature of this record is that the last songs ends with ululation.

You said record, so I assume it’s vinyl.

Re: Re: Re: Make me a tape?

I wish. Sorry, I still call everything record or album. It’s physically speaking, a CD.

Re: Make me a tape?
