Old 36er - improve for long distance

Great, i wondered if the Nimbus air saddle cover would fit on a Fusion Freeride saddle - obviously it does - so i’ll give it try .

It does work very well! My recommendation is to remove your front bumper and the back bumper prior to installation, and then install the air saddle cover. Then, cinch it tight using the cinch cord. Then, reinstall the front bumper and the back bumper. Doing so will make the air saddle “plumper” and “cushier”, because the air in the saddle cover will have less places to be dispersed to when you sit on the saddle.

I will upload photos later, when I have a faster internet connection.

@uni2one2 Many thanks for the tipps! I am now waiting for the saddle cover to arrive.

I’m going to take your advise and tuck my air covers under my rear bumpers.

I finally could test the saddle air cover on the Fusion Freeride.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work out for me.

First it felt very comfortable. But the cover adds some extra width to the saddle. And this extra width quickly started to hurt me.

I’m sorry it’s not working for you, I love mine. I have settled into wearing tigh runners shorts / underwear that help keep everything in place in combination with the air saddle and lots of time in the saddle conditioning myself I can ride pain free during my rides. Sometimes it just takes conditioning to get to the comfort zone.
