Ode to my KH guards

Dear Leg guards, you weren’t just any guards you were my very first, and Kris Holm ones to boot, bought with my very first uni.You were there with me through every fall, scrape and crash. You saved my knees dozens of times, you saved my shins hundreds of times. Why oh why did I put you down and forget about you?And when I did remember you it was too late. You were gone.I searched everywhere, asked everyone but noone had seen you.How could someone pick up something that didnt belong to them? I asked myself. You were dirty and smelly and soggy. But they saw through that, they saw the quality that you were.To think of you on the legs of some undeserving bycicle riding biped is unbearable. But I will never ever forget you and the good times we had.Goodbye dear dear KH guards.

…I won’t ask.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! ):

snap snap

snif :frowning:

Sorry to hear of your terrible loss.

The dryer helped with the soggyness but I still cant figure out how to stop them from reeking.

P.S. No sexual references are contained in the above post.

heh heh… I know what you mean

The secret is to wash them before they start reeking. Once they start reeking that means that bacteria have invaded and made themselves a comfortable home deep in the foam. Bacteria are very hardy creatures. Washing won’t kill them or get rid of all of them. There will always be some left and once the pads get moist and sweaty again they will come back to life, multiply, and create stink.

So wash your pads before they get stinky. Spray Febreze Antimicrobial on them after a ride. Same with gloves and any other cycling wear. Wash before they get the powerful stink or it is too late.
