Hawaii is offended by ABC news lady.
Obama has been all over the island. He walk the same beach that I go kite surfing. He ate burgers at the same place I do. Obama has family here. His high school basketball team won the States Championships(while he sat on the Bench:p).
It’s true we have lots of Chinese here. That doesn’t makes us communist. We think Ms. Cokie is Kookie. I don’t know if she apologized.

Bah. Talking heads say way more offensive things all the time. I don’t think she said anything that bad at all. Stupid? Yes. Offensive? No.
Yes I agree. Our local news likes to make a big deal out of it too. We really just laugh because this happens periodically. We won’t forget and might have to hold a friendly grudge against Cokie.
I’ll give Obama credit. I saw a clip of him body surfing at Sandy Beach on today’s local news.
Those beach breakers can be dangerous. My friend just broke his neck last week doing the same thing. He went to the same HS at the same time as Obama. He was only a few 1000 yards where Obama was catching waves. Although my friend broke two vertebras and is wearing a neck brace, he is not paralyzed.
But damm Obama, way to go for it!

It’s cool that Obama likes to play in the ocean. He’s staying at Kailua Beach. That’s close to Cameron Diaz’s place. We think he’ll want to go back to Sandy Beach for more body surfing.

So Myrtle Beach is more American than Hawaii? I’d like to hear her explanation for that, especially since he grew up in Hawaii (and it was a state the whole time).
Plus I’m offended by her taking any issue whatsoever with him taking a vacation after the campaign. It must be physically and mentally exhausting whether your win or lose, and he deserves it. Even if this vacation counts against his first term, I bet he could never come close to racking up as many days off-site as W.

yea. I stayed in the big island for a week and on Kauai for a week with my unicycle. I rode a lot but hardly filmed anything.
