NUC 2000?

Now, I KNOW it’s way early to ask this, but has anyone given any preliminary
thoughts to where next year’s National Unicycle Convention (in the USA) will be?
I couldn’t make it this year (too far, among other things). Any chance it might
be somewhere on the east coast?

Maybe Norfolk, VA? <g>

Re: NUC 2000?

Rumours are that it will be in Brisbane, Australia.

(I’ve got to stop listening to these rumours, they never seem to be right)

Re: NUC 2000?

The dates for NUC 2000 are: July 20-23. If you want it on the east coast, have
you thought about hosting it for 2001? Barb K.

Re: NUC 2000?

Thanks to Wayne, and everyone else who’s emailed replies to me on this question.
After I posted this, I read on Page 3 of OOW (April 1999 issue) that the next
NUC will be in Adrian, Michigan in July of next year. -UniCoastie

It is going to be in Adrian, in southeastern Michigan.

Re: NUC 2000 / UNICON ?

Can we do a UNICON in Australia?

I think many would be UP for that?

Who’s in charge down under??

If there was to be a UNICON in Australia (well, in Brisbane) I would gladly
assist in the organisation of the event.

Re: NUC 2000 / UNICON ?

As far as I know, there isn’t a national unicycling body in Australia. There are
a few clubs on the east coast who are into unihockey and do a bit of muni, but
there’s nothing hugely official or large scale.

There are about 20 unicyclists (if you count really hard) in the juggling club
at UWA, but that’s about as many unicyclists as you’re likely to find in one
place at one time.
