I swear, phlegm really said this, undoctored quote from the carbon chauvinism thread. Until then, the thread was OK for kids, but now they’re all running to look up these dirty words.

Meanwhile, Lord Alan Chambers dispatched his vallet to the 2nd floor library for the philosophy dictionary, and borrowed some consultants from his father to win this intense battle of wits with phlegm!!! From the parapet, one of the Chambers Palace guards has spied Dr. Science and a band of crazed MUniacs–rumor has it they’re looking for a NEW MUniac Mansion (anyone recall MUniac Mansion?) Looks like Lord Chambers now has battles on too many fronts. Same Bat Time, same Bat Station.

What can we do to stop this??! Where’s Harper the Monitor (Lizard)?? Where’s Gilby?? Shouldn’t SOMEONE contact the President of the Unicycling Society of America??!

Are you talking about the computer game or the TV show? If you are referring to Maniac Mansion, the funniest TV show ever (EVER), let’s jack this thread and discuss. If not, then we can “continue” to discuss this most important issue that you have raised in this thread. Which is… um… what exactly?

But: What is this thread ABOUT? It’s about too many things, filled with obtuse references (like Don McLean’s American Pie), Alan Chambers and the one-legged dog that ran around his childhood estate. It’s about me going “Wow!” to that, and to the heavy philosophy, big words, and a fantasy story.

Anyone care to finish the story? Will Alan survive? Does he have what it takes to stay in the ring (or thread) and engage? He ends so many posts threatening to throw in the towel.
