Me, although I /can/ pass on some news from BUC, having spoken to
Richard Loxley this afternoon. A West Country hockey team was put
together (including Richard, Paul Selwood and Sarah Miller IIRC) which
trounced the Lunis 4-1 to win a place in the final. The final hadn’t
yet been played when I spoke to Richard, so I dunno how that went.

hahaha you all missed it, it was great… and i got some great photos and footage…

so what did every1 think of the BUC, my first ever and i cant wait till next year, though if it was slightly further south it would be cool,

ill be able toride propery next year anyway hopefully ill have no injuries.

they allways schedule thes events when i’m not in the country or working.
i’m sure they do it on purpose.

don’t worry Ben i couldn’t make it either :frowning:

just rub it in North! :frowning:

:stuck_out_tongue: glad you enjoyed it did you do any weird stunts?

Yeah, in this thread you told us about all the things that you were planning to do like riding off a roof, streaking on the unicycle, and I believe a 16’ drop was mentioned?
So anyhoo, how much off it actually happened in the end? (that you can remember)

Has a time and a place been set for next year yet? I’m definitely going then… well, hopefully!

well north conveniently hurt his ankle on a 6 footer down on the beach, so there was no gigantic drop, you all missed out on his freestyle routine tho, lol. respect to the man for entering tho.

Well i have a different reason for not going now i 1 could not get time off work and 2 i had a french oral exam for my G.C.S.E’s today(monday) and i would not have made it so i am glad i did not go 2 buc now well ok maybe not!!!

We went on to win the final against Stockton (6-1 IIRC).

The team was (in alphabetical order - no captain):

Leo White
Paul Selwood
Peter Haworth
Richard Loxley
Sarah Miller

It was great hockey. Although we haven’t practised as a team,
we somehow gelled together after our first game (which was a 2-2
draw against Stockton). It’s a very long time since I felt a team
working so well together, just a single unit working as one. I was
on a high all day!

So I have the privilege of being on the winning team in 2000, 2001
and 2004

PS. Great convention, BTW.
