Are the swerves timed with your petal strokes …?
It wont take long before those ‘swerves’ go away. IMO, Its due to leg muscle tension on your petal strokes. Just give yourself more time. Riding will become almost effortless soon
yer it is in time with my strokes thanks for the quick reply

It will become less with more experience, but every unicyclist will
usually ride a wiggly line. Sometimes when I go out riding with my
daughter, we’ll ride through a puddle and do a contest who can leave
the straightest tyre track. Mostly she wins. Completely straight is in
theory doable but takes effort and practice, and not something to
strive for in normal riding.
Today (31 December) is the last day this year. Happy Old Year!
yeah, the ‘swervy’ bits are part of riding
if it’s extreme tho, it could be an indication that u’re sitting slightly too upright
try leaning forward just a teeny lil’ bit and u’ll probably find the swerving will smooth out appreciably
u can also test this by riding up a very slight incline
welcome to the fora and to unicycling
that’s one more of us and one less of them
