Nokia 5310 Problems

I have this phone and it’s great. BUT…one time it just turned off and ever since I want to turn it on it just flashes the screen and turns back off. I took out the microSD card and it works fine. So, I’ve come to a conclusion, that I have a virus on the card from one of the songs or something. Now, I’m wondering, how do I format the card without turning the phone off. Is it possible or should I just take the card to the store I bought the phone in?

PS: I would post it in a mobile phone forum, but I don’t have the time to register and such.

Nevermind, I got it

How’d you fix it? I’m curious and procrastinating from essays!

Well, I put the card back in and turned the phone on. I plugged it into the pc before entering the PIN number (after that it usually turns off). Then I deleted everything from the card. And now, I’m putting stuff back on. I know, it’s not the best idea of how to get rid of a virus, but still.

people who make viruses should be shot.

Sounds like a corrupt file or boot record on your card. Is there any information to support a virus attacking Nokia phones?

I did a search on google. There was some talk about viruses, but it wasn’t what was wrong with my phone, so I didn’t really read the whole thing
