Nimbus Impossible wheel

Is it any good to learn on

i’d say they would be the best to learn on

ok thanks

The bigger the wheel the easier it is to learn on when it comes to UW’s. i tried out a UW36 and i got some good runs on it but the 20" ones are very tricky.

I don’t want a uw I want a bc wheel thats why im getting this instead of an ultimate wheel

Opps…My bad i mis read:( sorry.

thats ok

I’ve got one. Still can’t ride it

I heard larger wheels are easier to ride - considering getting a larger wheel and putting the plates on it.

I also heard that the plates can get bent doing drops, although I’m not at that stage yet. Darren Bedford’s plates are the ones most people seem to like.

See the discussion in this forum:

the bigger the wheel the easy to ride. 20" ones are mainly for doing really high hops and 24" and 26" are used for doing hands on tricks, they are also easier because you can put lower plates on them.

I would suggest going to bedfordunicycles.ca and getting. Most people learn on a 20"

make one then buy one later thats what i did make sure you like it before you invest 100 + bucks on one just go to home depo and get some metal angle brackets and drill a hole in em then just bolt them to the front wheel of your bike its way cheeper

is the difference in price in the bedford plates and the bedford pro plates worth it

I have the Nimbus BC. I learned on it in like 20 minutes (that doesn’t mean anything, I suppose any BC would be fine to learn on)

Only if you plan on doing large drops, jumping, tricks and stuff on it. If not, the Nimbus BC will be fine. I’ve done lots o 16" or so drops.

I think so, but spencer can probably answer that better. a;so, Darren is prototyping some lower plates that are better(spencer is using some) that he said will probably be for sale soon. I pro plates have a longer part to stand on so that your entire foot is on it, but the normal ones are fine too.

Thats cool, I didn’t know if/when they would be sold.

The normal bedford plates are short and the PRO plates are long. I started with the normal plates and was doing fine then I switched to the PRO plates and once I got used to them I liked them alot more. They are more stable and allow easier balance adjustments (you can use you whole foot to correct). The PRO platforms also are a bigger target if you do tricks that involve your feet coming off. I think the difference in price is worth it.

ok I probablt will go with the pro plates then
