Nimbus 36"

well my nimbus is “out for delivery” today. i have not ridden in about 20 years but hope i remember it like “riding a bicycle”. i can’t wait. anyway i am in san antonio and was wondering if there are other 36ers in town. i just joined the austin group, maybe i will find some through there.

If you get on a unicycle that is that same that you rode when you were younger it might be like “riding a bike” but the leap to 36 from a smaller size is almost like re-learning to ride.

Welcome back to the unicycling world. You will be flying around on that 36er in no-time.

NOT like riding a bike

i did the math. 22 years since i last rode. the first try i made it about 50 yards… second time about 200. tire keeps going flat though. i have patched it and slimed it. i think you were right… this is definitely not as easy as my 1979 schwinn! but those last 50 yards i was cruising. i even stopped flapping my arms for a sec.

Just keep the weight on the seat and remind yourself that you need to pedal “lighter” than you think.

It is indeed good to have you back.

good advice. the pedal lighter for sure… but it needs to be smoother. and there is a whole “momentum” to the whole thing that i have not quite figured out yet.

Just ride ride and ride some more. It will come back

this ^^

i got it… now to work on stamina… and mounting. thanks to all for advice.
