Nightmare...

Last night was awful… I dreamt I took my unicycle to work, only to be just
about to show off at lunchtime when both cranks broke! For some reason they
were made of plastic… most odd. I then spent the next half hour
supergluing them back together, which did the trick!

Am I going mad?

How can you be going mad, if you already ride a unicycle?

Re: Nightmare…

I have a simmilar Night Vision; in mine there are Torker cranks on my ride, bent at the pedal on both sides. I wake in a cold sweat, reach for the night light to calm my nerves- and there, in the darkness, is the same wheel.

The neighbors complane about the screaming.

Re: Nightmare…

Recently I started writing down all of the dreams that I remember ever having.
This is not a nightmare, but the only dream I can remember ever having about
unicycles. I had this one back in the mid-eighties, when I was working the
night stocking shift at a Piggly Wiggly supermarket in Wisconsin. Oddly, this
was years before I learned how to ride a uni…

I am at the Piggly Wiggly, where I work the night shift, but it is daytime in
my dream. The rest of the night crew guys are there too. We are all tearing
around the store at breakneck speed on unicycles, careening madly from one
aisle to the next, flailing our arms, barely in control. I hurtle out of the
front of aisle 2 and whip around the corner, nearly colliding with an old lady
who goes “EEK!” and swerves her cart out of the way. I make a “Whoooa!” kind of
sound as I manage to avoid the crash and swing into aisle three. One of the
other guys is barrelling towards me on his unicycle, and we both go “Ya!
Aaaaaaa-” as we nearly crash. The unicycles are strange units with some sort of
fixed handlebars for the rider to hang onto. I wake up laughing with the
supreme silliness of it all.

Are you sure the cranks were plastic? They may have been those piece of shit LACSO cranks. By the way, I got my new Bicycle euros and they are great.

David,

Did you get the aluminium cranks or the steel? If you got the aluminum cranks, have you punished them much- hopping and the like?

Christopher

David, your XLW came with Lasco’s??? Mine came with the Bicycle Euro’s. I abused the heck out of my steel bicycle euro 150mm cranks. I’ve been running some old aluminum 170mm road bike cranks for a month now, and they’re holding up great. Finally worked up to a three foot drop today. I dropped it about ten times seat out front. Only dismounted maybe three times. What a great feeling. Joe in Iowa

I recently had a unicycle dream, the only thing I really remember about it was that I was hopping 2 feet in the air, totally amazing.
