I am a newbie and would just like to say wassup to everyone. Yesterday was my first day trying a uni and I think I may be hooked. For my first try I learned how to freemount , ride bout 70 meters and go down a ditch. I am planning on buying the same setup as accordnsx very soon. I guess I am lucky I got the hang of it in an hour.
Welcome to the board. It’s going to be nice to have a riding partner now, and maybe a bit of competition in time.
Good luck, and enjoy your stay.
You are a gifted individual. Use the force wisely. Truly impressive.
Awesome job, took me almost a week to be able to rid 70M, keep it up.

I just got my unicycle a week ago. I’ve been working on mounting and
idling inside, and ventured outside for the first time today (it hit 60
degrees in upstate NY). I actually rode 20 feet unassisted. What a
rush! I can’t wait to get outside tomorrow after work.

Congrats!! Enjoy it!
I’ve taught many people to unicycle and some folks just seem to catch
on amazingly quick…and I am surprised every time. I remember when I
tried to learn…it was two weeks of falling on HARD asphalt!!!

I heard about you from Accord442 the other night. Sounds like you’re
picking it up pretty quickly as well. Pretty soon there will be uni club
in your town.

Second day of riding. Learned how to drop off curbs and impressed myself by descending down a sttep drainage ditch. My inner crotch is sore from all the riding tonight. I don’t know how I picked it up so quik. Maybe my expireance with skateboarding. I don’t know. I am having fun with it though and thats all that counts
It’s only the second night for him riding and he’s doing awesome! He’s mounting extremely well, can ride down some steep ditches with me and off some curbs. Hopefully I can track him down a Miyata seat for when he orders his United/Monty.
Hopefully I can come up with the cash for the uni. I now feel ready to go off the bench in the playground
I let a skater ride my Uni, and within minutes he was
doing 1/4 to 1/2 turns of the crank, without ever having
ridden before. That was the first person I’d ever seen
make that kind of progress. Usually people fall off right
away when they try to pedal, or they can’t stay upright.
I wonder if the experience helps you the other way, like
does riding a Uni help you ride a skateboard?

It would take a day to get my skateboarding skills back. But with the uni I was on it for an hour and I am already skill level 2. I guess I just got lucky
