New World Disorder - DVD

Hi,

I’ve seen mention of New World Disorder here a number of times. Apparently
it features a few minutes of Kris Holm - and rather more minutes of people
with training wheels. Anyways I spotted that it’s available on DVD - saw it
in HMV no less.

If anybody’s interested, the cheapest I’ve found for people in Europe is at
www.play247.com (UKP14.99 inc. P&P).

Re: New World Disorder - DVD

I just did a search for DVD prices and found this review of New World Disorder.
Note the Unicycle mention:

"Imagine a Crusty video shot with mountain bikes. Welcome to New World Disorder.
The opening 10 minutes is simply nuts. Thanks to a young chap named Bender, we
learn how he has no fear of dropping 50 feet. He pole-drives himself every time,
rag-dolling over and over, but it’s all good and definitely in the name of
progression for the sport. The rest of the running really just calms you down
from this initial shock. There a fair bit of ‘north shore’ log riding, as well
as a feature on some maniac on a unicycle who does shit you wouldn’t even dream
about on a MTB. There are some dumb bits which you’ll learn to fast forward
through, but overall, it’s money well spent. Welcome to the next level of
mountain biking insanity. Also available on DVD. -Australian Dirt Bike Magazine

Re: New World Disorder - DVD

It’s available at Amazon.com for $21.49… Note that the British DVD (region 2)
will not work in North America (Region 1).

Indeed. Or $17.49 at Digital Eyes, $18.74 at DVD Planet, $18.99 at CD Universe
etc., etc. All of which are more expensive when shipped to the UK but must
be good value for those over there.

True. Although it’s often easy to convert an R2 player to play R1, the reverse
is not usually the case because US machines don’t tend to support PAL. One up to
us for a change.

Sorry, getting my DVD and Unicycling newsgroups confused. Normal service will
resume shortly…
