how do i change my movie so that i can post it here…it’s a .MSWMM
Do a search on conversion with words like conversion, mov, wmv. There is a really good thread somewhere JC made cause I was jacking one of AC’s threads and he went through the steps step by step. Do the Bink and Smacker one it should work for your file type.

MSWMM isn’t a movie file, it’s a Windows Movie Maker file. open it in WMM, then go to file and ‘export’. or maybe it’s ‘save movie’ or ‘save movie file’. that will put it in a .wmv format so you can upload it.
nope .wmv dosnt work i just tried
ah try going to the file then right click and click properties and then click the change botton for what file you want. that should have every program on your comp
what should i make it windows media player is the only thing i have beside a dvd player that wont help.
windows media
thats what it was before a .wmv and i told u it dosnt work
so what do i do?
.wmv works your comp is screwed
You’re going to have to be more descriptive. What do you mean by it doesn’t work?
Does it fail while trying to encode the WMV file?
Does the WMV file not play?
what are YOU talking about i can play it i just want to attach it to a post.
That’s what you were talking about???
I read through this thread several times and never realized that you were actually trying to attach a movie to this thread. I doubt that anyone reading this thread had come to the conclusion that you were trying to attach a movie to a thread.
From your cryptic posts it looked like you were trying to convert a .MSWMM movie to a .WMV movie so that it would be playable by people who don’t have Windows Movie Maker. You need to work on your writing if you want people to understand what it is you are trying to say.
The valid file extensions and file types for attaching a file are: gif jpg png txt zip bmp jpeg
No movie format is listed there. The best you could do is put the movie in a ZIP file and attach the ZIP file to a forum post. But there is also a size limit. The file has to be less than 1MB. It’s going to be a very short and very small video to fit in under the 1MB limit.
The better way would be to put the video in a gallery and then link to the gallery in your post. If you have one of the newer accounts that cannot create a new gallery then use the free4all gallery. Gilby set up the free4all gallery so that everyone has permission to upload a file to that particular gallery. But you don’t have permission to later delete it or make changes to it once it is there. Otherwise any random person could go to that gallery and delete people’s movies or pictures.
