I’m new to the forum and apologies in advance if there’s a similar post.
Anyone from San Jose or Bay Area interested in meeting up? I’m a beginner, recently relocated from France.
Also, anyone know any bicycle shops that sell unicycles and gear? (tyres)
Hi Rick. I live in San Jose. I’ve been riding for two years now. There are a lot of unicyclists in this area. What kind/size unicycle do you ride? I have several different sizes that you can try out when you want to. I do point A to point B kind of riding. I don’t do tricks and stuff. My son in law likes to do tricks. We ride many Saturdays together. I really like climbing hills but he doesn’t. I ride most everyday after work.
I don’t know of any bike store that carries unicycles/parts. Most people shop online for unicycle stuff. Maybe someone else knows of something in the area.
If you’re posting about unicycling, please post in the unicycling forum. You’ll speak to a wider audience… many unicyclists don’t venture into “Just Conversation”.
Despite the title of the list, we organize more than just mountain rides, and more than just rides in Santa Cruz. We’d love to see you out with us! Please sign up for the group and send out a message introducing yourself.
The only unicycles / components I’ve seen in local shops aren’t worth buying. There is a great unicycle shop in Santa Cruz: http://www.renegadejuggling.com/
Other that, either raid Nathan’s garage or go online for your unicycle parts.
