New Unicycling Video Just Released: “One Wheel-No Limit”
One Wheel-No Limit is a new, professional-quality video that features some of
the most talented unicyclists in the world as they perform a wide range of
unicycling skills and tricks. With over 200 clips, this hour-long video shows
basic skills and many, many difficult moves-everything from easy mounts to
skills past Level 10.
The video is very visual with background music and no narration. Close-ups make
it easier for viewers to learn how to attempt the skills. The video shows:
learning to ride, stomach on seat, seat-out skills, backwards, idling, one-foot
riding, hopping, hop twist, jumping over obstacles and people, rolling mounts,
back mounts, side mounts, jump mounts, kick-up and other mounts, bounce seat, up
and down stairs, wheel walk, crank idle and side hopping, spinning/pirouette,
still standing, standing on tire, hop on wheel, gliding, stand-up wheel walk and
gliding, hand wheel walk, side ride, seat drag, uni spin (180, 360, 540), cross
over, multiple people on one unicycle, ultimate wheel, tall unicycles, two
wheeler, BC, miscellaneous skills, and group riding!
One Wheel-No Limit has something for everybody-from beginners to skilled riders
who need a new challenge. The video was filmed in Minnesota in December 1999 and
January 2000 at many Twin City Unicycle Club practices. It features more than 45
TCUC members, showing a wide range of ages and abilities.
Available in both formats (NTSC for the U.S. and Japan, and PAL for other
countries), the video is being sold for $20 U.S. It is available now from
Unicycle Source (http://www.UnicycleSource.com or 1-800-UNICYCLE). In Minnesota
only, the video is available through Andy Cotter, president of the Twin City
Unicycle Club.
One Wheel-No Limit was financed and directed by Andy Cotter and edited by Alan
Plotkin, who has produced professional videos of juggling conventions for many
years. Alan also produced a video of the 1996 National Unicycle Convention
(also available for sale at UnicycleSource). Others who provided much help
with filming and logistics were Peter Bier, Irene Genelin, Colin Schworer,
Ashley Wood, and Neil Younggren-all accomplished riders who appear in the
video many times.
