New uni sport?

So, I was over on the mountain bike forum site. http://mtbr.com/techtalks (yes I try to lure them here, as I try to lure you there)

I was telling them of all the sports I could think of on a uni, joust, b-ball, sumo, ect…

Someone brought up uni-paintball! Wouldn’t that be neat?
If that was too much impact (even from shooting) perhaps 10 people on unis could convince the owner of a lazer tag site to let them play (I doubt it, but it would be pretty fun)

OK, but you have to supply the unicycles. I’m not going to subject my own unicycle to paintball mess. I’d never get my uni clean again.

sofe, u should know better!
a quick search thru this forum will get u the three previous uni-paintball threads
i dont think anybody’s bitten yet
i’m still waiting for someone to play unifrisbeesoccer (i forget the proper name for that game) with me

:frowning:

uni ‘ultimate frisbee’

Paintball would be too messy and would have too much impact. Laser tag on the other hand would be awesome!

I’ve played Ultimate on uni’s - it works perfectly

Well, if the paint is a problem you could always use the rubber pellets.

-Mike

They played uni ultimate frisbee at the Cornell Juggling Fest. As for uni paintball, sounds like fun. I would have to agree with john though, your uni would be a mess.

I like it!

Re: New uni sport?

Send me an email. I’ll play.

Re: New uni sport?

If yall are worried about your unicycle getting dirty then you bettter leave
it in the garage. Live a little (more than unicycling). I learned a long
time ago that the harder I push my sport and gear usually the more fun I’m
having. You can always get a new one. If I leave my video camera inside
where it’s safe then I probably missed some serious action. Not dissin’ on
you. Just an observation.

Peace Out- Your my kinda people !

Does anyone here actually play paintball?
The paint in a paint ball is water based, and all you would have to do to clean it off was hose it down. It would not be any messier than a muddy muni ride.
And unless your a crazy freak who likes to not regulate the pressure on the gun, and who likes to shoot paintballs 400 mph as opposed to 200 mph out of the gun (what i play at, sometimes up to 230-245) your not going to harm you uni.
Sounds like a good idea
My paintball gun is ready to go!

Re: New uni sport?

I posted a long while back about uni-paintball, it’s not very fun because you
can’t hide very well. And as Scott says, the paint’s bio-degradeble (sp?) so
you just need to rinse off.

Dylan

i’ve never played, but I think the fun of not being able to hide would be replaced by the fun of knocking someone off their mount.

More like tag (around obstaccles) , than army tactics

rite me thinks dis a mint idea n there is a site in scotch corner which is massive and would be perfect. and there right no mess u can just get it off wit a hose /hot soapy water. the impact is fun part u wusses no pain no gain no fun just arrange it n ill be there as for the laser dont think it would work as its hard to unicycle round obstacles in almpst pitch black k later days

You can do BabyFoot tournaments!

It was this summer.
