I learned on my schools Torker 24" CX, then, about two months ago I bought a Torker 20" LX. I can hope up stairs, 180, hope onto a box about 1 foot high, and can grind. The other day I hoped off a box that was about 2, maybe 2.5 ft high at the skate park and my rim bent a little bit. I can’t feel the bent rim when I ride, but I’m still concerned. I certainly don’t have the money for a new uni now, but what would you recomend if I want a new uni that can with stand 4 ft drops and grinding for the cheapest price?
have your tried to true the wheel. I have been carring a spoke wrentch most of the time I ride so that I can true the wheel a bit. Another quick fix would be to go to your local bike shop and see if they have a 48 spoke 20" rim that would be stronger. As far as unis go from what I have read a DX would be good but I dont know that from experience. Hope this helps
Thanks for the advice
Also make sure the spokes are always very tight. They should be tighter than most bike spokes.
do you guys know if that 19" Maxxis Creepy Crawler tire would fit on a 20" rim?
