So I’ve been riding my Torker dx 20 and really want a lighter uni now. So with tax returns a new uni is coming along. I have several options for the frame, and I like the Impact gravity longneck, and also the reagent. I Ride with a low seat height, but not too low that the longneck would be too long so I think having more seat tube would make it stronger? I want to save a little $ by keeping my dx hub and wheel which is 100mm bearing pitch (which rules out nimbus and KH frames), but will upgrade the chromoly cranks to moments. So my main questions are flattop reagent, or roundtop gravity and 25.4 or 27.2 seat post diameter since these frames come with both options. I haven’t had problems hitting my knees on the protruding corners of my dx so im not sure if I need a roundtop, but I also don’t do any tricks that use a flat top. I just wanted some maybe more experienced opinions on these choices.
I don’t think the 100mm bearing pitch rules out Nimbus and KH. That’s a standard width – almost any of them should work. There are some freestyle frames that are narrower, but most everything else is 100mm AFAIK.
I think 100mm is the standard but you may need adapters to bring the torkers 40mm bearings up to the new 42mm standard.
I’m not 100% sure on my information
