New to Unicycling (boring)

This is rather boring but I’m so thrilled I can ride (kinda), I have to
tell someone!

It all started when I was a kid and saw my uncle ride a giraffe. A few years
later while visiting my grandparents I saw the dusty giraffe in the corner of
the garage and asked if I could borrow it.

Needless to say, I never learned to ride it. Mounting (off the garage roof) was
pretty tricky! I gave the uni back after it collected more dust for a few years
in our garage.

About 2 weeks ago, one of my kayaking pals mentioned unicycling and that he had
a 20" Schwinn for sale. It’s in great shape and came w/original owners manual. I
bought it for $50.

I learned from the internet (www.unicycle.com) that it should take about 10-15
hrs. to learn to ride. I learned in 3-4 hours by just playing around with it on
the deck. I can now ride about 100 feet most of the time. I can “free mount”
sometimes. I’ve been packing this thing around everywhere just in case I find
the chance to practice. The deck is now too small and the driveway is gravel.

I just bought a Savage giraffe and can ride it about 6 or 7 pedal revolutions!

My wife friends and relatives know I’m a little “different” but this unicycling
bit takes the cake! They’re convinced that I really am a clown!

Anyway…I just wanted to say, “Hey!” to all you one-wheelers!

Happy Pedaling! Steve

And now the sky! Pleased to hear such pleasure…relish this
moment…remember when driving a car was fun? The thing is where do we go
from here? God knows anything but juggling…got a few costume character
ideas and though of jousting with cardboard cut out horses…what do you
think. Greetings from Grim Grimsby by the way (U.K.) Dynamo Dez IROLLMYRPM wrote
