New to the community

Hello

I started riding a few weeks ago at 43 yrs. it has been 27 yrs. from the last time that I touched a uni. so long ago that I can’t remember if I was any good. at first I thought that I was crazy to try this at my age but I am allready Addicted. I have a torker cx 24" witch is light years ahead of the ace that I had three decades ago. after some advice from a man that calls himself the uni-Geezer ( Terry ) I plan on getting a torker dx. I live in Alaska and spend most of my time in the arctic so with it being winter my progress may be slow but I am stoked and ready to Learn. If anyone out there has advice or knows anything about unicycling in Alaska I am Interested.
Later Mack.

Awesome, welcome and nice to have you here. May learning come easy.

welcoem to the fora!

idk much about Alaska…but i do know that unicycling is AWESOME!

glad yur back into the worlds greatest sport!!

May I suggest this http://www.unicycle.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1050, it is agreed that it is better than the dx just about. It will off more possibilities with the isis axle. That way it can take many more cranks and everything is in the process of switching to that now. They also have a 26in version. A crank upgrade is recommended, but not need when your just learning only later on.

wat city are u from in ak?

Welcome, welcome.

Nice to have you in the community. Just have some fun riding, and be sure to stay dedicated to learning how to ride. Sure, its frustrating, but its well worth it. Riding is too much fun.

ehh hes gone no point in posting that

hopefully he gets back on and hopefully hes from my area cus then i culd have a unicycle buddy… actually hes a little old for me but maybe he has a hot daughter. Im sure he wuld aproove of me:D

Welcome Steve! He actually called me yesterday after having spotted my phone number (displayed on my fridge) in one of my uni videos, haha! He asked a ton of questions and we had a nice conversation.

He said that while watching my videos, he thought I was like maybe 30 years old (made my day!:)) , but then when read that I was actaully 51, he thought that maybe he too could learn to ride again at the relatively young age of 43!:stuck_out_tongue:

I then strongly recommended that he join our uni community, and introduce himself. Maybe also he’ll find a few other unicyclists in Alaska! Good luck Steve and welcome to the forums!

haha, neato!!
