I’ve unicycled off and on all my life and race cross county mountain bikes but never put the two together. I am thinking of buying a Muni to cruise the local trails, nothing too radical. Don’t know what to buy. I am about 5’9", 155lbs. Would like something nice but not $1500!! What would you all suggest.

well, you could get the KH 24 or 29" that definatly wouldn’t set you back $1.5k. look for anything with a splined hub and a tire >= 24". if you’re not looking to grind down a 12 set of stairs, or learn to triple flip, most unis will be ok. if i had the money i’ld get a torker 24" because i like my 20" and i think a 29" would be too big and possibly too flimsy

For my basic muni purposes, I bought a 24" 2006 Torker DX with splined hub. It’s holding up nicely so far for what I can do, albeit that isn’t much, but it does get the job done. I bought it on www.unicycle.com for $260 USD.
yeah i was thinking of getting into it aswell. I checked out some prices and asked some questions and it seems to me the best deal for a decent uni would be the 24" Qu-ax with splined hubset for 515$ (AU) from unicycles.com (475$ from municycle.com.au but i’m not sure how much of a rep these guys have). Any other ideas for splined muni’s would be welcome.
