@rogeratunicycledotcom do you know when new stock will land in other countries? My special interest is of course in Germany.
thanx
The shipping is super complicated and difficult at the moment, so the times are varying dramatically. Containers that I know have arrived so far are UK, Australia and China. Ones on the water and due very soon are Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Sweden and USA.
Sorry I don’t know the exact dates. I will see if I can find out dates.
So I ordered a 36" wheel but you have no 36" tyres. Are you or any of the other UDCs likely to get tyres soon?
Actually I just realised I can order a King George directly from QUAX, so went with that rather than wait longer.
36" Tyres: They short changed us on the production numbers which is why most (if not all) of the Unicycle.com’s are short of the spare tyres. They have now arrived in Taiwan and we are working out how to get them out to all the shops. . The UK have there’s coming in about a months time,
Ok, good to know. Thanks for the update. Nonetheless I am please I ordered the KG Ultimate (light equivalent) because I am tired of waiting (much like the rest of the unicycling world I suppose ).
I have not read much about the KG tyres. My friend Erlend runs one (albeit [AFAIK] not the light version) and he has been happy with it. He has also ridden my original (“heavy”) Nightrider and commented that he did not feel these was much too choose between them (at least for his usage) but I have not seen too many comments about the KG Ultimate version.
In an ideal world I would have gone with the Nimbus Nightrider Light as it feels like more of a “known quantity” but I suspect the KG Ultimate will likely be fine as well.
For anyone else as impatient as me, I see that @MAD4ONE still appears to have some Vee Tire T-Monster Tire 36x2.25 (57-787) in stock as well.
I truly feel deeply for our unicycle suppliers like the unicycle.coms world wide as well as our local bike shops, I truly hope they can weather this supply shortage. What baffles me is the explosion of battery powered electric vehicles that now seem to be everywhere. My city, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania has just been invaded by a scourge of pay as you ride scooters littering the side walks and piloted by people riding them with no regard for pedestrians or traffic laws. People riding electric bikes are becoming a common sight on city streets as well as the bike paths. I’m pretty sure these vehicles are coming from China, so I’m not sure why these items are being shipped and delivered while bicycles, Unicycles and the subsequent parts needed to maintain them are not being shipped. With the shortage of new inventory those of us looking for used Unicycles and parts will attest that they are only slightly more common than unicorns. Let’s hope this latest varient of the virus doesn’t set our hobby back another 2 years. I think it is so very important to support our suppliers in whatever way we can to ensure they will be here to ride with us into the future
