Nice name, but couldn’t some one just catch it, and walk right up to the circle thingy and then shoot? or is there a rule like “you can only hold onto it for 5 seconds” or “only 5 steps”?

I am not going to search for a video of it but last year I was at a hockey game and was watching these kids play this game. Here are the basic rules of it as good as I can remember it.
You use a tennis ball. One person in the back starts with the ball. They throw it at the wall, the other players try not to get hit with it as the ball goes to the wall, once it bounces off they try to get the ball, if they catch it on the fly they have to try to hit the person that threw it. The person that threw it is safe once they get to the wall. If you hit the person with the ball then you get a point. If you threw the ball and it made it to the back wall you get a point. Once the ball bounces off the wall once and then hits the ground it’s dead and the first person to get it throws it off the wall. And then it starts all over again. It should be a fast moving game with people constantly in motion.
Here is a picture I made up showing the playing area, it works better if the back part is bigger than the wall. it shouldn’t be too crowded but for a 20x20 space you should have about 10-15 people playing.

Yeah. People have a lot of names for it also. The most common being wall ball. As going through elementry school, i had watched a few grades of kids re name it to whatever they pleased. I remember it was called eagle at one point…
Edit: now being in highschool, its a bit more extreme and faster paced. I know a few kids that end up doing backflips off the wall during the game. Pretty fun to watch, cause these kids can also through a ball fast enough to leave a huge welt. Also people just play it crazy now…
We used to play soccer squash, with a wall, it was Wall Ball to us.
Ballscore: you get a semi-deflated volleyball, go inside a cricket bowling practice net, kick the ball as hard as you can, wherever you want, and yell “ballscore” when the ball stings your foot. You have to be playing barefoot and the ball has to be at just the right pressure to sting you badly when you kick it, but still fly far so that others can kick it too and yell “ballscore”. You must yell "ballscor"e in your silliest accent. You are allowed to change accents throughout the game.
