New seat or save for Coker?

Do I spend the $99 now on an air Miyata seat or do I save up and wait for the Coker?

My opinion? Get the one you can have the soonest.

From talking to you and hearing what kind of stuff you like to do, the air
seat probably would be the best choice for now. Cokers are good for speed
and distance but not really for tricks. The big wheel will let you ride up
things like curbs, but the big wheel also tends to flex a lot, and I would
think that making a habit of that will trash the rim eventually. A Miyata
seat makes a HUGE difference, especially if you have that stock Savage
torture seat.

Re: New seat or save for Coker?

get the coker, the waiting list is huge, so you will have the seat conversion sooner than you even know…you wont even have to think about it ,it will just happen…BUT the Coker is a bigger commitment… i dont have one,but want one go fast and show up some Lance Armstrongs out there too…Look @ the metal plank you were sitting on 1 month ogo, the savage seat needs to be destroid by you and you only, then you can upgrade, its a right of passage

Go for the seat. I can’t imagine covering any distance on a coker without
an air seat.

I thought everyone would say “Get on the waiting list for the Coker
NOW!!!”

I was wrong. That’s what I sure am saying!

Never let your schooling interfere with your education.

If he was riding 10 miles a day on weekdays and 25 miles a day on weekends
on his 24", I would have been telling him to get a Coker before he even
asked. Thing is, he seems to want to do more tricks and off-road than
distance, so I suggested the seat.

i think you should get a better unicycle, i dont think that savadge will hold up for muni and trials. you could get the united muni. its a good uni for the price. 180$ http://www.unicycle.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=124
and this is just a rumor, but i think unicycle.com is all-out off miyata seats at the moment.
i say get the UNIted
dan

I think I’m going to go ahead and get the seat.
The Savage “will” hold up, trust me.
I’ve already swapped the pedals, soon to be the seat, then there will be a crank swap in process and eventually wheel + hubs. I rode BMX for 7 years or so, so I’ve got plenty of stuff laying around that has potential. The Savage will become a freestyle bike, and then this will be purchased…
