This is more of a test TBH but i’d just like to say ‘hi’ from my new account. As they say, out with the old and in with the new.
From now on this will be my new account (i’m not telling you who I was before) and I’m probably going to set up an account on the UUU under the same name too.

I know it is a bit stupid to post a new thread but I just thought it would be better to tell people that I’m not new to the forum, I just have a new account. Either way there is no point whining on about what has already been done.
As for why I have made a new account - I just felt that I should use the same name everywhere, and what better name to use than the name I have on my birth certificate, bank statements, fishing licence etc.
Sorry if I’ve annoyed any of you, I just thought it would be better to alert everybody as to what I was doing instead of mysteriously popping up with a different username.
Welcome to the forums, Jacob Young. Now that we know that that’s your real name, it narrows down the possibilities. For example, we now know that you are not Greg Harper (which means I’m free to put one of these --> :))
I’m pretty sure nobody actually cares that you started this thread. It’s just that things are a bit slow around here. We need to have “fun” with whatever threads are available.
Quite a few years ago, I got tired of the silly stuff I was posting and decided to be a little more serious. So I created another account using my real name. Looking back, I’m not sure why I felt the need to do that, actually. Then I made some references back and forth so people knew both accounts were me. I posted for some time under my real name, then went back and forth for a while. Then I went back to posting almost exclusively as uni57. It wasn’t an age-related change (I didn’t start posting as a kid and then get older and want a clean start – I’ve been old for a long time now).
It’s OK, I’m fine with a little messing around from time to time (you are right, things have been a little slow recently - there has been some great stuff posted though).
As long as no one has developed some kind of grudge against me just for posting a new thread of not much importance then I’m OK.
