Hey, first post and not sure if this is the right place. I just gave my old trials/learner a new look all on my own and thought I’d show you guys and ask your opinions on how it looks. Anyways here are some pics.
what was the original color of the pedal pusher? nice job!
It was like some cheap chrome. I don’t even know if my uni has an actually brand…bought it for, either $50 or $100, I don’t even know. And thanks, I’m just waiting a couple days to let the paint to set before I ride it.
how did you prepare the surface before you painted it? I am curious to see how the paint holds up.
Well funny thing is I tried to just go ahead and start sanding it down but there was some sort of sealant on the frame so I searched around on how to get it off, but I just ended up scraping it off with a pocket knife 
oh and then I sanded the metal down with 220grit sandpaper.
Right. sandpaper. there’s an option. I just handed my friend’s frame to the autobody shop to be sandblasted so I could paint the lower leg to cover some welding and didn’t know how to prepare the chrome for painting. I actually started a thread asking how to do what you just did a few minutes before I saw your post! I hope you post a pic of it after a month to see how the paint holds up.
