Who says! Time, commitment and loads of practice (or is that practise?)
can get you just about anything. If you want to become as good as them, go
for it! If you’re like me and would be happy being a quarter as good (how
do you measure that?) then do that and be proud of it!

If you’re using Internet Explorer on Windows then go to “Tools”, “Internet
Options” and click “Settings” under the “Temporary Internet Files”
section, then click “View Files”

An explorer window will then pop up, this is your I.E. cache (you may have
noticed each time you click on the video link you don’t have to keep
downloading it, this is where it comes from). If you sort the files by
order of size then the mpg you’re after will almost certainly be at or
near the top. If it isn’t there your cache size may not be big enough, you
can increase it. You passed the slider bar that changes the size a few
clicks back.

If you’re using Netscape or anything else (I’m not familiar with them),
then just do a search for *.mpg on your hard drive and you’ll find it
(this method will work with I.E. too). Once you’ve found the file (by
whatever method) copy it to another directory where you’ll be able to find
it quicker (it could be deleted from the cache if you fill it up).

Hope that helps.

Have fun!

This newsgroup site is definitely a “mature” newsgroup. I’ve been over to
the alt.mountain-bike and there is a handful of butt hole attitudes that
attack novice and experienced bike riders. (for what good purpose? did
they have a lousy life and want to affect others?). Anyway, I do secretly
want to pursue those tricks, such as hopping the wheel sideways and/or
going up the stairs. Once I grab that skill level, then I’ll really be in
good spirits. I am certainly willing to give it commitment.

Hey, thanks for telling how to copy out the .mpg from the cache folder. I
consider myself a fairly good and experienced computer user, but I didn’t
know about that trick. THANKS!

BTW, according to my dictionary, practise (with ‘s’) is chiefly British
(never been there yet). And practice (with ‘c’) is mostly used in America.
Either way, it’s a legal word.

Later.

Oh no, now I’m being described as “mature.” Does that mean I have to
get rid of my toys? I may be old(ish) but I wouldn’t describe myself
as grown up!

My pleasure.
