New Juggling Forum

Ok, I know there’s a few of you jugglers around. I’ve been meaning to contribute somewhat to the juggling community for a long time, especially since I’m quite an avid juggler myself.

So since I had some free time at work, I went and bought a domain and now have a forum set up. If any of you would like to join in and liven up the place a little, it’s at www.streetjuggling.com/forum Tell your juggling friends too.

I’m currently having a monologue and despite all the entertainment value I possess I’m getting sort of lonely :frowning:

What do I hope to achieve? A community where jugglers - beginners and pros - get together and discuss tips and shows or favorite tricks.

Goodluck!

Im not a juggler. Well, I can juggle, but nothing advance. But, if i get into it more, I know jsut where to go to get tips and help.

Yes. Cool. I’m in. I’ve been able to do 5 kind of for a while. I just got some flying clipper bags, I learned everything up to now with dollar store bean bags.

It needs more sub-forums. Look at what this one has. It needs like that. Also split it into things like sport juggling, artistic juggling, street performing.
Thats just what I think. But it’s would be nice to finally get a unified juggling forum, I dislike rec.juggling’s format on jugglingdb
Maybe you should talk to the mod’s at rec.juggling about how to get it cross fed into your forums like gilby has RSU on here.

habbywall: Sub-forums would be great and i intend to further divide the current categories in the future. However, since there’s all of 3 members, I don’t want to thin out conversations which are already non-existant to begin with. Hence the 3 rather broad headings.

Unfortunately rec.juggling is not moderated, rec.sport.unicycling is not moderated either. While it is possible for sites like www.jugglingdb.com and unicyclist.com to take a feed from these newsgroups and remove certain threads from these feeds they are not deleted or moderated.

rsu and rj are usenet newsgroups and these date back to the early days of the internet. If you don’t like how jugglingdb presents the rec.juggling feed then try reading it via google or on a newsreader like the one in thunderbird or opera.

I’m sorry Fluxusmaximus but I doubt your site will ever exceed the popularity or global nature of jugglingdb which has been translated into about 18 languages (not the rec.juggling newsfeed) and has people from all over the world posting to it on a regular basis.

Plumsie.

A Juggler.
