Hmmmm.

Big chunky friendly screens, and I can’t find any of the buttons. But worst of all, it extracts my date of birth from my profile and makes a point of posting my age next to my name and avatar.:frowning:

You can change the age thing, in your profile.

Hey that’s neat. The Edit Profile page now has a privacy setting for your birthday and age. It gives three options: [LIST=1]

  • Hide Age and Date of Birth
  • Display Age
  • Display Age and Date of Birth [/LIST]Cool. You can also choose not to give your year of birth and it won't show your age. That is the option I have done. I gave the month and day but not the year. My age isn't shown but my birthday gets announced on my B-day.

    I plain dontl ike this new setup. i like hte quick reply, ive seen it on several of hte forums i go to…but this setup is jsut way too confusing…i vote change it back…keep the quick reply if oyu can…if not…still change it back

    This is wierd, or possibly weird.

    I came to the forum today and couldn’t see this thread on the list. So I searched for threads with “format” in the title and there was none. then I searched for threads to which I had posted, and found it.

    Some sort of glitch?

    I prefer the other option, somthing compleatly bogus. That is the option I have done. :roll_eyes:

    And he’s a little surprised and disappointed that this should have happened.

    It’s not like I’m a regular “offender”. 2,000-plus unicycle-related posts in RSU, often going out of my way to help new unicyclists, to share what knowledge and experience I have, and to “keep the peace” when disputes break out, and then I make one mistake and suddenly I’m a naughty boy and told off publicly.:frowning: Excuse me.

    Yeah, OK, maybe I over-reacted a bit. Gilby (and the other moderators) do a lot of work to provide this forum, and deserve our thanks. Some of you may not know it was down for a few hours recently as the entire forum, including all historical threads etc., was backed up because the server was in the path of one of the hurricanes, for example.

    I like the quick reply. I like the easy italics and underlines. I’m less keen on the appearance of the screens. If it had started like this, though, I would probably have been suspicious of a change to the other style.

    I’m 42, you know. It wasn’t like this in my day. We had to send a pigeon.
