New Coker

I got the coker yesterday. It really is quite intense. I highly suggest it to
any unicyclist who is at least an ‘intermediate’ rider.

It feels like you have half the torque/power, and twice the momentum. So
it’s difficult to mount and start, and when its really moving, it’s very hard to
stop. Moving straight riding, it actually came quite natural.

Free mounting it takes a much larger jump than on a 24" wheel. You really have
to throw yourself up there!!

It really has introduced many new challenges … Just what makes Uni fun.

It is worth noting there was a problem with shipping. The box was very torn
up when it was left on my door. The tire is much closer to the fork on one
side than the other. I’m in the process of resolving this, and will keep the
NG posted.

Re: New Coker

I have 2 Cokers (one for my daughter) and I like the tube tire much more than a
hard rubber tire (less bumps). 36" is small enough to free mount but I rather
take a small jog and jump on as one would on a much bigger wheel.
