New announcements on World Games Unicycle Convention

Hello from Tokyo,

The World Games Unicycle Convention (WGUC), to be held on August 25 and 26
in Akita, Japan, is drawing near. Here is some new information:

  1. HOME STAY PROGRAM

The Nakazato Family in Chiba, well known to Unicon participants, can
accommodate up to 10 people, in their home in Chiba, This is not where the
WGUC will be held, but roders can stay there before and after. We have
already arranged home stay for a few of the riders. We have other hosts
for home stay too.

  1. INDIVIDUAL FREESTYLE

Originally individual freestyle was not part of the plan, but we have
established this category because several world class riders will attend.
The original plan was to have a demonstration. It is only open to high
school students and above, which will ensure a good balance between
Japanese and non-Japanese participants.

  1. ENGLISH WEBSITE

Some people have inquired about why there was no announcement on the World
Games website in English (a Japanese one has been available for a long
time). They finally did post an English version. It is available at:
http://www.wg2001.or.jp/engimg/ea1000.htm

Myt website with details on the WGUC is available at:
http://www.kanji.org/kanji/jack/unicycle/worldgam/wg.htm.

  1. CHEAP AIR FARES

We are arranging for this with the Japan Travel Bureau on a case by case
basis so the prices cannot be announced. Please contact me for details.

See you there!
