New aluminium cranks...

Hi all,

Sorry have not been about recently but have been busy getting the new office
and wearhouse sorted. Anyway I just poped on to say that the new machined
aluminium cranks have just arrived! I have added them to the site tonight.
http://www.unicycle.uk.com/shop/shopdisplayproduct.asp?catalogid=175
Sorry no pictures, I have not had a chance yet. tomorrow.
They are really really nice looking, they are really slick hard anodised
finish and have been trimmed down with a nice curve and machined with the
apropriate thead and spot faced as well! They look so solid.
They are available in 150, 125, 110 and 89mm, the first 2 sets are going on
my unicycles tonight! Sorry I am as little excited, it is a long time
since I have wanted to add something to my CF uni and these are them.
If you are in the US and are wanting some… you will just have to wait a
week or so because they will be leaving tomorrow or Wednesday to get to John
Drummond

Roger

I wanted 140mm, blue anodized. You forgot to read my mind. I thought you were more thorough than that.

roger was already able to read my mind well enough to tell that i want a set of 125s when i get paid

Re: New aluminium cranks…

Forgot to mention, they can do any size you like… well within reason.
They take about 3 weeks to produce and… no no anodized blue!

Roger

Roger, you say they can do any size you like. Does that mean even shorter than 89mm?

(Thinking a long way down the line here, but it’d be nice to know.)

Is this going to be ‘for a limited period only’ or now that you’ve set it up, will these cranks be available long term?

Am I right in thinking there was a plan for some ‘budget’ 89mm cranks to come out in early December or did I get confused?

Thanks
Mike Wilkinson

Errr, uhhh, ummm…

I don’t have the time to read everything, so I’m a little lost. What is so special about these particular cranks?

They are Dotek cranks. Doesn’t USA unicycle.com sell dotek cranks, already? Are Roger’s cranks the same or different?

I was confused by Roger’s statement that the cranks will be sent to John Drummond etal.

Clarify, please.

Thanks

Re: New aluminium cranks…

These cranks have been specially cut down from the top of the range Dotek
cranks (similar to the 170mm ones that John sells). They are for Freestyle
use where there is a problem in getting decent light weight short cranks,
these are one answer.

They are being sent to Unicycle.com in the US from Unicycle.com in the UK.
This happens on a monthly basis with one thing or other.

Explains?

Cheers

Roger

Re: New aluminium cranks…

Mike,

These are not the budget ones (unless you have a big budget). First week in
December the steel 89mm cranks are coming in.

Cheers

Roger
