I’ve got a sphere that weighs 350 grams and has a diameter of 8.5 centimeters. The following is the data that you need to give:
If I kept adding material equally onto the sphere…
At what volume, in cubic decimeters (rounded to the nearest tenth), it would weigh 1 kilogram.
At what volume, in cubic decimeters (rounded to the nearest tenth), it would weigh 100 kilograms.
The first person to answer correctly gets to put “#1 Unicyclist Community Nerd” or something else less nerdy such as “Unicyclist Community’s Smartist” or “Best Calculator” in their signature.
Yes, I have the answers.
I would try it but I don’t think I want that title
That’s fixed. Check the original post.

Yes, I have the answers.
I could just put “best calculator” in my signature without having to calculate something.
“Unicyclist Community’s Smarte st”
I need a piece of paper and a pencil…
The HP48 series is the best calculator
I used my TI-84+ to solve that little quiz. I just made a table (Y1=kilograms per cubic decimeter*X) that went in 0.1 cubic decimeter incriments.
Now, JC, the rule of my thread is that if you make a smart remark you have to solve the quiz. Get out your fancy calculartre!
I said best calculator, not best speller!
You just turned math into the equivalent of a business spreadsheet. That is not a good thing.

Fine then, “unicyclist.com ’s second best calculator”
0.9
91.9
(according to my HP-11c, and some mild bad brain work)
Okay, I have the answer…wait, is this a homework problem?
In that case, I’m not gonna help you cheat!

I have a TI-83 plus and I don’t know how to work anything but the normal functions! I will probably be forced to learn eventually.

Bad math with the brain calculator:
0.7
won’t fit in the sphere
BAhhh WHY am I in special ed
heres my attempt
uhh umm (decimeter 10cm squared right)
90cm?

Decimeter is a retarded unit that only people from the USA use (as far as I know). Why you would need decimeters when you have millimeters, centimeters and meters, I have no idea. In fact, I’d be quite happy if they got rid of centimeters to be honest.
decimeters…wow thats really quite shocking.
nobody here in the US uses decimeters, and surely not cubic decimeters. I think that part of it is a trick to confuse us
We use sensible units for volume, such as gallons and cubic yards
