Hello everyone! I just registered today for the necessity to be able to gather peoples’ opinions. A friend gave me a cheap (I think it was made in China, and to give you an overview of the amount – it was around $11) 16 inch unicycle for my birthday last 2007 but it wasn’t until last year September that I actually started learning it. It took me 8 days to finally get used to it. Nowadays, I can ride it for until my quads feel tense, maybe something like 30 to 45 minutes. I am planning to buy a new uni with a larger wheel but I cannot decide (yet) whether to get a 24" or a 28". I have read about the difficulties of maneuvering a larger wheel versus the versatility of the all around 24" but I want to experience being on a larger one. I don’t know what to think, so maybe I could use a little help, some short answers if you can. By the way, both uni are priced the same ($81) and were locally made here in the Philippines. So what do you guys think would be best considering my first was a 16? Thank you for anyone who gets to reply!
I think you should get the 28". It will be harder to maneuver, and much harder to mount, but that improves a lot with practice. You’ll adjust to it. It’s going to feel like flying after toodling around on a 16".
