I just got my new 7mp Digicam and i wanted to post some pics but i have a problem…The pics come out of the cam at like 3000x2000pixels and i have no idea how to resize them…Is there any accurate way to do it not using photoshop?
Thanks

In ACDSee (my default program) it is in ‘Tools’ then ‘Resize’, or ‘Ctrl + R’.
I am sure someone smarter will help, but it might be in something like ‘Tools’, ‘Options’ or ‘Edit’. Followed by ‘Resize’.
Sorry I’m not much help. If its urgent feel free to send them to me.

I think Google’s Picasa (free) might be able to do it also.
NOTE: First rule of digital photos. Never, ever make changes to the original file. Always keep your originals. Only make changes to copies of them. Those originals are the equivalent of your negatives. Only they take up less space and are much easier to back up!
that a good rule
http://www.irfanview.com/ An awesome free program for resizing and minor touch-up.
Also, a free Photoshop-like program: http://www.getpaint.net/download.html
IrfanView is great. A good image view and packs in some basic image editing.
Be sure to use the resample method for changing the resolution of the photo.
Image >> Resize/Resample…
In the Resize/Resample dialog be sure to select the “Resample (better quality)” method. The Lanczos filter works well and isn’t noticeably slow.
IrfanView also has a batch conversion feature where you can do the same operation on a bunch of files at once. A great way to resize every photo in a directory.
File >> Batch Conversion/Rename…
Check the “Use advanced options” box to get the advanced options that allow you to resize. And then be sure to select the “Use Resample function (better quality)” if resizing images.
Picasa is also a great image management program in a different way than IrfanView. But I prefer IrfanView for basic image editing (cropping, resizing, and things like that).
