hey, ive got windows live messenger 8. i recently started using my sony DV camera as a webcam through firewire (im on a pc). however, when i go to webcam its zoomed in, but when i use it on another program its not zoomed in.
is it possible to get it not so zoomed in on msn?
are there other programs which have chat to msn contacts and webcam?

the problem is with msn and i cant see any zoom settings in it
Ummmmmmmm look at the product setting on seprate program?/ See if there is a zoom button on side of webcam?
its not really a webcam, more of a camcorder.
the problem is msn is cutting the video and only showing the middle bit, i need to essentially zoom out in msn.
I think the problem is that your video out from your camcorder is too big for MSN’s little screen it uses to broadcast the cam and pictures.
If your camcorder has the option too adjust its video size, set it to a small setting, as small as it can get. Hopefully the picture your camcorder send out into the computer will be about the same size as msn uses.
Thats all I can think of right now, cause I am gonna go to bed.
Searching on google for using the camcorder for a webcam will find a lot of stuff too, cause I wanted to do that a while ago and looked it up, and got tons of results.
