I thought the movie was pretty funny. It wasn’t as bad as some reviews had me believing. I also greatly enjoyed Napoleon Dynamite and School of Rock.
i thought it was a waste of money.
there were maybe only 3 or 4 parts that i laughed at.
the corn in the eye being the funniest.
but overall it was pretty terrible. definatley not to the standard of Jack Black’s other work.
Well I’m a fan of Jack Black in general (School of Rock, his cameo in Anchorman, the D, etc.), so I’ll probably see it just because of that.
On a side note, anyone else looking forward to the Tenacious D feature-length film?
I thought it was very silly, and not to be taken seriously. Kind of a Mexican, churchy version of Napolean Dynamite. I’m sure it will walk a fine line with many viewers between funny and extremely stupid (which it also is).
If you’ve never been to Mexico or been exposed to lots of Mexican life/culture/styles/stereotypes, much of the humor may elude you. Or, being aware of Mexican lifestyles you may be a great deal more offended.
