N.Y. Unatics Have A Logo!

Hey there, After much effort, and loads of stress of trying to find a skilled artist to draw what I had in mind for our logo, by chance, a professional illustrator had just joined our club. After some chit chat, this guy, Zach, aggreed to make the drawing for the shirt.

I have uploaded it to this page–> http://tinyurl.com/f3h

We are going to hopefully have these shirts made up really soon, however, the design will not be in color like it is there.
Anyone interested in ordering one? E-mail JFatSmokes@nyc.rr.com for more info.

Great logo!!! I’m working on a logo for my web design class. I’m using Macromedia Freehand, and it has so many features, I don’t know where to start. I’ll post a pic when I get it done next week. Joe

wont u run into problems ref using a nationally ‘worshipped’ symbol like that in a ‘fun’ way?
i remember the thread ref the memphis uni club wanting to use an image of elvis
they ran into some problems so i’m just wondering

Fantastic, David! I’d like to order a large and XL. Amy and I were
married on Liberty Island, in the shadow of Lady Liberty, just before
work began to renovate her for the centennial celebration.

Best regards,

John Drummond

OK, I’ve got a rough draft of my logo done. I put it up on my Coker page so I could figure out how to size it and stuff. I don’t have much content on the Coker page, because I’ve been busy with homework. There is some things that I’m going to clean up on the logo, and I’ve got untill next Friday to get it done for class.

<whispers discreetly> John – I think you may want to order two - one for you and one for Amy

I think that, unlike Elvis, Lady Liberty is in the public domain. Her image
is used everywhere, and I don’t think you need a license for it. Elvis, on
the other hand, is a private commodity.

I think the logo looks great. It would be nice if you could at least do two
colors on the shirts, black and green. That would add a lot.

Interesting choice of stockings for the lady. Though the real one shows bare
feet in her sandals, I don’t think the artist’s intention was to show that
much bare leg, so you are showing good taste along with your humor.

Stay on top,
JF

Re: RE: N.Y. Unatics Have A Logo!

In order to save money, thus keeping the price down, I wanted to make green shirts (like the mountain dew muni shirt from gilby) and have the logo printed in white, or something like that. Eventhough I REALLY LOVE how the logo is now, it would just cost too much to have them made like that. What I need is a plain black outline of the logo printed on white paper so the shirt guy could scan it, and make it up.
HOPEFULLY they will be printed up soon.
