Our cat Simpkin who passed away last weekend at age 22 had a penchant for baked beans, sweetcorn and peas. Though he was definitely omnivorous.

Kit, sorry to hear that your cat died. 22 years old is a damn old cat. I didn’t know they could live that long. Peace.

Simpkin is greatly missed in the house. He was the loveliest cat in the world and turned dog-people to the feline side on several occasions. We are holding a wake for him this week in our local pub so poeple who knew him can come and get drunk in his honour. He was a very good friend. He’s been buried under his favourite sunbathing spot which is quite nice I think. Our little girl cat has just fallen pregnant (we got our vets dates mixed up for spaying…doh)so the circle of life keeps on spinning. And our elder cat, The Professor, is warming to his duties as alpha male Johnson cat.

No doubt. We had not had any cats for 8 or 9 years after our daughter was born. When we finally got Molly and Cupcake it was amazing how quickly they became an integral part of our home.

I love silver tabbies. our 2 remaining cats are the bother and half sister of a silver tabby kitten we had who disappeared. He was the sexiest cat I’ve ever seen. I think he was pinched by somebody coz he was just so damned purdy.
I think I lost all the cat pics we had after a formatting recently. But once my sis gets her digi camera back from a friend she’s loaned it to I’ll stick up some photies

Definitely in the "somewhat range, but since cats don’t read newsgroups - although any cat owner can attest to the fact that they do read the newspaper - I’d say it’s tastelessness (also just in the “somewhat” range) was in its favor rather than against it.

On a more serious note, yes I live about 5 miles from the jousting place and have watched it a # of times. But alas no, I’m not a horseman.
