In this day and age of climate change??? You should be ashamed of yourself. Especially when something much smaller would suffice
That picture confused me for quite some time, quite a sweet device though.
horay for xtracycle
haha i xtracyclized my bike last year for a self supported multi day bike trip up north. it was just my friend and i and he had a BOB trailer. we both agreed that the xtracycle setup was superior in all situations except riding on flat smooth pavement. it climbed better, was more stable at speed, stopped better and has way less drag if the road is not perfect. I love my SUB and plan on going on my first winter bike trip with it in two weeks.
I would recommend an Xtracycle conversion kit to anyone who likes to go on bike trips or would like to be able to pick up groceries with their bike without having to plan ahead and bring a trailer
PS it gets way better fuel economy than my truck, i try to use it for everything under 200lbs and 50km. if you carry heavy loads i would suggest a new stronger back wheel (with a 26X2.5 tire) and a disk break in the front, it is awesome!
I’ve seen quite a few xtracycle bikes around town in the past year. They’re pretty popular here. Flagstaff Arizona is a VERY bike oriented town. I think a lot of if has to do with the fact that there’s a university here and the city council is very bike friendly. Lots of bike lanes here. And we have several bike specific events throughout the year. I always make it a point to go to events/organized rides on my unicycle. We have a big bike parade every fall. Last year there were over 2000 bikes. And 6 (that I knew of) unicycles. The year before, I was the only uni.
I like the way you are using yours to transport your uni.
Sweet ride!
