The PRIMO is an awsome clamp. Don’t bother with the Nimbus clamp, the bolts are small and the heads eventually get messed up.
On your present clamp, does it tighten so there is no gap across the split?
If you take it to a good bikeshop they’ll know what to do

I don’t know what your old clamp looks like. Maybe you have stripped the threads ? It would be great if you could just find a new bolt and nut for it at the hardware store for a few cents.
If the threads are in the clamp, could you perhaps drill out the thread and install a larger bolt and nut ?
Nope it’s completely brand new. I think that it’s just bad from the start. When I got my supposedly new uni, i noticed there were scratches and wear & tear on the seat. So I’m thinking the clamp may be a recycled piece. But I’m definately thinking of getting the Primo Viking.
if its brand new then complain and get a new one. simple.
