(Note: I’m assuming you’re using windows. Also, since I’m not sure how fluent you are with computers, I’m spelling a few things out that you probably already know.)
My first guess would be that your screen’s resolution is off. Go to “Start->Settings->Control Panel” and double click on the “Display” icon. In the display properties window, click on the ‘settings’ tab (it should be on the far right near the top of the screen).
There will be a slider bar labeled something like ‘screen resolution’. The farther you slide it to the right a little bit, and click the apply button. The screen should go black for a second, and come up in a new resolution. It will ask if you want to keep the new settings - if you like them, hit yes and it will keep them. If not, hit no and your screen will change back. There is a chance (depending on your monitor and graphics card) that when you apply the new settings, your screen will be completely messed up. If this happens, wait about 15-30 seconds, and your screen will revert back to normal.
This might not fix the problem, but it’s the only fix I can think of without sitting at the computer and looking around on my own.
I hope it helps,
Rob
done that the vids still do not work but the icons are the same size as normal yay i need it it that simpleton talk i know some stuff but i do not know the names ect so (kiss)keep it simple stupid
Have you tried getting newer drivers for your graphics card?
This will probably not work but it might be worth trying. Of course there could be something wrong with your graphics card too. Or the monitor.
Things that spring to mind first…
It’s not running in Safe Mode, is it? That gives you a really low resolution, uses just 16 colours so your backgrounds will be really weird, and doesn’t load things like video drivers so that might make the videos not show properly.
Failing that, make sure you’re still using lots of colours; in the Display control panel (right click on the desktop, “properties” at the bottom", in the “Settings” page make sure the “colours” bit isn’t set down to 256 colours or something; it should be at least “High Colour (16 bit)”.
