As I am given to understand you young people say: “Woot woot!”
My brand spanking new shiny red BMW F800S arrived today. Talk about a nervous ride home - £6500 worth of large unfamiliar bike delivered to my place of work, for me to ride home in the rush hour through major road works, traffic calming measures, and in temperatures enough to melt the tyres.
nice. I don’t really like bmw motorcycles but i accually like that one. I am more of a i want a fast bike where I can race type of guy. i also love cruisers(thanks to my dad and telling me the only way I will get one from him is if its his or a crusier). I also love choppers and custom bikes. i do got to say I have seen a good bit of bmw’s with all the motorcycle riding and racing i do and considering i don’t really like bmw and touring bikes I love that bike
The alternatives were for me to take bus, train or taxi to collect it from the dealer in the next county, or take time off from a busy work schedule to have it delivered to home.
Next week, I take time off from a busy work schedule to ride it,and hopefully get some unicycling in too.
I ride a Valkyrie and have been looking around. 'Don’t beleve I have seen ads for “unicycle scabbards?” They need to make something to carry a unicycle on a motorcycle with.
Nice looking bike! It’s not a model I’m familiar with so I’m guessing it’s not exported to the US. Is it an 800cc twin? I’ve been riding BMWs for about 8 years now and have been a huge fan of them for 40 years. It just took me a while to buy my first one.
I currently own 2. Both 1981 vintage (I’ve always had a thing for the air-cooled horizontally opposed twins), an R80GS and an R100RS. This new model of yours looks fast. Be very careful out there. Each and every car IS your mortal enemy.
Will be exported to US next year, I think. 4 stroke parallel twin with 360 degree firing, and a novel balance mechanism (similar to a lazy piston) to cancel vibration. 85 BHP, 6 gears, the lightest BMW ever made. Final drive through a toothed kevlar belt, like a Harley.
