My Macro Website

I don’t think many of you are interested in macro photography, but on the other hand I have seen many threads in JC that aren’t of interest to me.

That said, check out my website: www.camerondonaldson.com

I use a normal point and shoot camera, with home-adapted lenses on it.

When you check out my macro photos, be sure to vote on your favorite and also if you want, critique the photos. As yet no one has posted any comments of my site. The comment box is found below each of the full sized photo.

I’m not a professional photographer or webpage designer, so advice is welcome!

your pictures are interesting, but i’m not so interested in creepy crawly things. (although your frog picture is stunning!)

i liked some of your flower pictures and the man-made object section is cool. the water photos are nice but there’s too much detail in some of the shots… i find the best macro photos are the ones that come out very simply composed… very few colors or edges in the shot.

i’ve done a little macro photography myself with my digital camera and found one can see a whole new world of detail when he puts his nose up close to something…

i love this one

maestro8: what kind of camera do you have?

To everyone else: Be sure to check out my macro photos!

A FujiFilm Finepix 4700 zoom… here’s a (1/2 resolution) sample of a macro shot I took with it:

P.S. who voted 0 on my butterfly photo? :frowning:  The photo can’t be as bad as that? I had to pursue that guy for 20 minutes to get the shot.

oh man new quick reply stuff, not to go offtopic here but this is deffenatlly a cool new feature, guess its been a while since I’ve checked the forums,

Great Macro photos though I’m amazed at some of the pictures the timing on them seems too good to be real.

Were there any photos in particular you really liked?

Sorry for the double post,

So far 43 people from unicyclist.com have been to my site!

Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

~Cameron

I second this.

^^^^ that’s a frog ^^^^

So far 64 unicyclists have checked out the site. Is there anyone else who hasn’t seen it yet?

I really like the photo of the frog as well. I took the photo out of a canoe in a river, it was calm enough to sneak up on the frog and he stayed long enough for several photos.

I’m loving those pictures… especially the close-ups of water droplets. Those ones in particular are very soothing.

 My bad, I had the comments option turned off for guests.

I’ve fixed the problem now, if you want to post comments on my site about my photos feel free.

I’ve added 28 more photos to the site. Most of them are in “man-made objects” and “Water”

I have started photographing ice crystal, be sure to check them out in the “water” album!

Comments are welcome!

That’s pretty nice for only 2.4 Megapixels!

I picked out my favorite. Its some good stuff there. I’m more of a drawing man because I dont have a camera. I’ve done some BW film too that came out well.

I really like your water and ice shots

i like those pics, you have a great eye

request: please take a macro shot of someone’s eyeball!

what’s #19 in the man made objects?

That’s a pretty nice picture. Very high definition.
