My friend was able to free mount and ride across a parking lot in one hour! Some of it was due to the fact that he had my 20" United with Monty/Miyata combo to aid his riding, but he did awesome! He would have ridden longer but our riding time was interrupted. I was teaching him in a parking lot that’s right near the main road in my town… I see this kid go by on his moped, and then another guy in a truck coming up (3 lane road)… BAM! guy in the truck rides right into the back of the kid on the moped. Next few hours were spent talking with cops and what not. I’m still pretty shaken, I was the first one on the scene… just hearing the kid scream and watching him get ripped across the road freaked me out. He’s scraped up, broken leg I think, and a concussion for sure…
